HOW DO I PREVENT FRIZZ?
This is one of our favorite questions to answer because there's a simple fix.
If you’re out here trying to live your best hair life, one of the best-kept secrets lies in what you're drying your hair with.
You know we're here to fill you in on all the deets.
There’s a hierarchy of things that you can use to dry your hair with, which go from regular bath/hand towels (wayyyy at the bottom of the list), to microfiber towels, to actual-shirts (not the worst option if you can’t get your hands on a t-shirt towel), to a legit T-shirt Towel.
Your regular bath/hand towels are designed to get your body good and dry. They’re great for that! But they have huge fibers that, compared to the fragile strands of hair on our head, are dinosaur-sized and those huge fibers tend to catch and snag on our naturally curly hair causing major frizz and ughh…breakage.
Then there’s the microfiber towel, which is better than the bath towel. But don't let the name fool you: the fibers are anything but “micro”. So it has the tendency to do exact same thing as the bath towel. Though the severity maybe less, breakage is breakage.
And we want absolutely NONE of that.
Your everyday cotton t-shirt is a decent runner-up option to the t-shirt towel because it has smaller, flatter, way less damaging fibers than the bath/hand towel. But, it's not able to soak up all of the excess water after you wash your hair, nor can it do so in a timely manner.
Which leads us to the hands-down winner of the evening…
The T-shirt Towel!
*insert fanfare and applause*
T-shirt Towels are made specifically for your hair. It has tiny, flat fibers that absorb excess water a million times better and faster; and is so much gentler on our delicate strands, meaning significantly reduced breakage and way faster drying times.
No more spending a whole day waiting for your hair to air dry. T-shirt Towels will typically get your hair 80% dry in about 10 minutes.
Compare that with your normal way-too-many-hours-long airdrying time.
T-shirt Towels are known for serving FACE:
F: Faster drying, so that it’s not an all-day process for your hair to air dry
A: Absorbs water soooo much better than a regular towel or t-shirt
C: Clumps your curls together far more effectively, resulting in those popping curls you crave
E: Enhances your natural curl definition
T-shirt Towels are known for not only absorbing excess water from freshly washed hair, but they’re also gentler on your curls, which help to minimize frizz and breakage.

Here are some suggestions on how to use your T-shirt Towel:
1. After you have lovingly washed, conditioned, and deep conditioned your hair (which, if you used the Naturalicious Step 1 Moroccan Rhassoul 5-in-1 Clay Treatment…YA DONE), grab your T-shirt Towel and wrap it around your hair using the convenient band that keeps it from falling off.
2. Don’t go crazy rubbing it back and forth any old kinda way. Just wrap it around and chill for a bit. This will reduce the amount of friction your hair is receiving, leading to less frizz, which is something that we all want, right?
*YES PLEASE*.
3. Give it about 10 to 15 minutes. And guess what. Your hair is going to be about 80% of the way dry.
Pro Tip!
Now if you’re looking to do a swift-n-sweet wash-n-go, before wrapping the towel around your head, put your favorite go-to moisturizer on first.
Put the T-shirt Towel on your hair, and then wrap the towel around your head for about 10-15 minutes. Take it off and guess what, you’re ready to bounce!
